Species Kit
CYP-dependent metabolism can vary widely from one species to another. Species differences in drug metabolism can be assessed by studying the in vitro metabolism of a drug by liver subcellular fractions or other relevant test system from a variety of toxicologically relevant species (e.g., monkey, dog, rat and mouse). This analysis is useful for comparing metabolic profiles with results obtained from analyses with human liver microsomes in order to identify the most relevant animal model for pharmacokinetic and toxicity studies.
This kit provides a convenient, economical tool to compare the metabolic profile of four non-human species to the profile of humans.
